Matt Craig grew up with the ocean as his playground, thanks to his amazing parents who instilled in him a love for the sea. His childhood was filled with adventures on boats, holidays at the old family bach, and countless hours spent surfing the waves. This idyllic upbringing fostered a deep connection to the ocean and a passion for all things aquatic.
When Matt returned to New Zealand with his family after running a successful surf school in Costa Rica, he set up business in Matakana. Eventually what evolved was Summer Sessions, your local surf store.
A positive force in the lives of many, Matt is always ready to lend a hand or offer words of encouragement. His commitment to the community and the ocean have made him a beloved figure, inspiring others to get out there and follow in his footsteps and cherish the natural beauty of the sea.
